We make instruments from short focal length, high-throughput spectrographs to long focal length, high-resolution monochromators, with a variety of choices for many different applications. Used in combination with HORIBA’s high-quality detectors and optical accessories, we can configure custom spectroscopic solutions to meet any experimental requirements.
Multichannel spectroscopy involves the detection of optical signals using an array of detectors to capture the entire desired spectrum at once or after a few scans of the grating.
When the grating is fixed, such a system is called a spectrograph. Spectrographs exhibit improved stability and reproducibility due to the lack of moving components. Without an exit slit, throughput is increased, as well as providing a direct multiplex advantage. Combined, it makes experiments both faster and more sensitive compared to conventional single-channel techniques. Since spectrographs collect entire spectra in one shot, it opens up possibilities for rapid data collection as well as kinetic data collection unachievable in any other manner.
Multi-channel spectrometers are used to monitor or measure multiple samples or sources simultaneously. These spectrometers were traditionally expensive and bulky, used only in demanding laboratories. But the state-of-the-art optics and CCD cameras enabled us to offer a compact and low-cost multichannel spectrometer that features high spectral resolution and high light throughput.
